CLASS SCHEDULE

If women, in our culture and society, only live in 40% of their bodies-at best, what would exalting the other 60% do for her? Her potential? Her everyday reality?

Through a series of dynamic, fluid, and rhythmic dance steps, each woman will come to know her own unique sense of movement. Honing her personal style, while tapping a more complete sense of her potential via extensive strength, flexibility, and kinetics training translates to the ultimate in freedom: the confidence to push one’s limits of possibility, in fulfillment of fully and completely living one’s own truth*...  ( * See Dr. Huett’s publication, Exercise as a Therapeutic Modality: Adapting Psychological Treatments to Holistic Science and 21st Century Consumerism. )

Privacy:
Pole dance classes are private. There is no observation window or visitors allowed. Prospective students are encouraged to sign-up for an introductory pole dance class in order to observe and experience what this movement is all about. Because this form of dance is intimate, beautiful, and strenuous, students sign up for one or two classes per week to attend. For purposes of continuity and cohesion among participants, pole dance classes are scheduled. They are not available by “class-card” or on a “drop in” basis (with the exceptions of make-up classes). In addition, what your fellow students experience or share in class is private, or confidential. You are free to share your personal experiences with others, but please refrain from commenting on a classmate’s.

Attire:
Yoga pants, shorts, t-shirts, jog-bras or any comfortable fitness clothes in which you can stretch, sweat, and work-out. Accessories for Levels II-VII include layers: shorts, skirts, dresses, tie g-strings, and 6-inch platform heels.

There is no nudity. The emphasis in pole dance classes is on the movement, which is the vehicle for becoming more comfortable and stronger in your body. Introductory and Level I classes are geared towards learning the basics; "stripping," or "striptease" techniques are not instructed until Levels II and above. Even in the higher levels, some women take off nothing, while others partially disrobe. My motto is work within your comfort zone. The benefits of this movement are not gained by “baring it all,” but rather by defining your own personal limits and pushing yourself within them.

Sessions:
Classes are on-going. Students sign up for a specific class on a given day, evening or weekend. “Closed” classes, capped at 10 students, allow for continuity of instruction and cohesion among participants. Tuition is automated and classes are paid in full monthly. Twenty-four (24) hour advanced notice is required to reschedule private lessons without being charged for a missed session. Given the demand for private pole dance parties, seven (7) days' notice is required to reschedule private event pole dance classes/parties.

Missed Classes:
Students can make up missed classes during the time they are enrolled at TranZenDance, LTD by scheduling to attend a same-level class or lower. Please note that you must call ahead to ensure that a spot is available. Formal “make-up” classes for each level will also be scheduled and offered monthly.
