Pole Dancing:

Pole dancing is an integrated movement/dance form comprised of ballet alignment, modern & jazz sequences, belly dance hip work, basic tango steps...and burlesque moves, including flying turns and other maneuvers on the “pole.”

Pole dancing is “transcendent” of all forms since there are no distinct notions of “right” and “wrong,” aside from a balanced alignment and utilization of proper biomechanics on the pole. Ultimately, each woman becomes aware of the unique ways her body moves, defining her own style, enhancing her personal strengths. All our classes are two hours.

Advanced techniques to maximize results. Appropriate for all fitness levels.

A 1 ¼ hour class offered to men and women intended to strengthen and lengthen both core & structural muscles. This comprehensive workout draws upon ballet technique, yoga, Pilates, and calisthenics to maximize gains in functional strength, flexibility, balance/agility, and cardiovascular endurance. Specific methods are instructed, which include progressive muscle relaxation, diaphragmatic breathing, antagonist-agonist stretching, isometric conditioning, and neuromuscular proprioception.
